In the e-commerce industry the "perspiration" is not just about hard work, but technical ability. So unless you are an experienced web developer with a deep understanding of the specific e-commerce requirements, you will need to recruit an agency to develop your web site for you, and to produce a professional quality e-commerce website takes time and attention to detail, so it is not a cheap exercise.
Most e-commerce business ideas do not become reality because the web development costs are too prohibitive, or they fail to be successful because they were not developed correctly, which usually means cheaply.
